The Ink Black Heat

The Ink Black Heart is by Robert Galbraith. The sixth book in the Cormoran Strike mystery series. Cormoran and Robin are hired by the family of a murdered comic creator to find the identity of her murderer, who is believed to be the creator of an online game based on the comic book series. They are struggling with multiple cases and inadequate staff, as well as their own fraught relationship. There are also no end of possible suspects for the murderer. There are a lot of chat threads, tweets, etc, in this book and that does make it difficult at times - but this is another wonderful book in this dark, but enjoyable series.

Mickey7

Mickey7 is by Edward Ashton. The first book in the Mickey7 science fiction series. Mickey is the seventh version of himself. He is an expendable. A clone used to perform dangerous missions on a planetary colonization mission. On a scouting mission into a cave system. Mickey7 is believed killed. By the time he gets back to base, Mickey8 has already been cloned. There can only be one expendable at a time and now the Mickeys must hide the fact that there are two or both will be recycled. The native species is becoming more violent and only Mickey7 can save both species. This was not my favorite science fiction novel; I don't know if I will read the next novel in the series.

The Crime at Black Dudley

The Crime at Black Dudley is by Margery Allingham. The first in the Albert Campion historical fiction mystery series. A lively weekend party at an old mansion turns deadly and the remaining guests discover that the seemingly foolish Campion is the only person capable of finding the killer and saving them. I LOVE Campion, he is never what he seems and is such a fun character. I can't wait to read the other books in the series. Fans of Golden Age mysteries will enjoy this one.
