Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog is by John Grogan. Shortly after their marriage John and Jenny decide to get a puppy. What they end up with is Marley, a yellow lab, who makes up for in people skills what he lacks in socialization skills. Marley flunks obedience training, is terrified of storms, shuts down a public beach, lands himself a role in a movie, and protects his family. A wonderful nonfiction tale of happiness and heartbreak. If you can read this book without laughing and crying you are no dog lover.
Ratings: 9th grade - 10 out of 10 - AC (some mature thematic content) - MP (mild profanity).
