Left for Dead: A Young Man's Search for Justice for the U.S.S. Indianapolis

Left for Dead: A Young Man's Search for Justice for the U.S.S. Indianapolis is by Pete Nelson. If you've every watched Jaws you've heard of the Indianapolis, it's one of the most riveting scenes in the movie. Here is the true story which is every bit as riveting. The story begins with the sinking of the Indianapolis, continues through the court martial of its Captain, and the search for justice for Captain McVay and the other survivors. A search spear-headed by an 11-year-old boy. A fantastic tale of courage and the power of an individual to change things. We highly recommend this book!

Ratings: 8th grade - 9 out of 10.
