When the school starts a unit on the Civil War the students are split into North and South sympathizers. The Cruisers are given the unenviable task of playing peacemaker and preventing the war. They are forced to consider the meaning free speech, democracy, and what it may cost to stand up for a cause. An excellent opening to Myers' new series.Ratings: 6th grade - 8 out of 10.
