The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is by F. Scott Fitzgerald. One of the novels you must read before you die! The classic tale of the lives of the rich in the 1920s, complete with ostentatious parties loaded with gin. Gatsby is in love with Daisy, but Daisy is married to Tom, and Tom is having an affair with Myrtle. This whole mess leads to an accidental death and then a murder. The story is told through the eyes of Nick Carraway who knows Tom and Daisy and is Gatsby's next door neighbor and finds himself pulled into their web. A wonderfully poignant tale of Americana in The Jazz Age.
