Georgia Walker is a struggling single mother of a mixed race child and New York business owner. When the father of her daughter abandons them, she starts her own commission knitting business which grows into the Walker and Daughter yarn store. This book is the story of a group of very different women who meet to knit and share their lives every Friday night at Walker and Daughter. Their stories become entwined as they began to share, not just a love of knitting, but the ups and downs of their lives.
