Who is Maud Dixon? is by Alexandra Andrews. Modern realistic fiction which has won several award nominations. Florence Darrow works for a publishing firm in New York; she wants to be a writer, but can't seem to get a break. After she is fired from her firm for sleeping with her married boss, she goes to work for the mysterious Maud Dixon - the pseudonym used by the author of a best selling book. No one knows who Maud Dixon is and now Florence is going to work for her. But things don't turn out as Florence hopes. The book was going fine until the end; then both Florence and Helen become vile and completely unlikable. The ending ruined the book for me.
