Esther Greenwood is a young, beautiful, successful college student. She has a scholarship, an internship in New York, and is a talented writer. She is also dealing with mental illness. We see the descent into Esther's breakdown from her perspective which gives a unique look at the issue from the perspective of the person going through it. A Reader's Corner Highly Recommended Read.
