The Sea of Monsters is by Rick Riordan. The second book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. The magical borders that protect Camp Half-Blood have been poisoned. Percy and Annabeth must find the Golden Fleece and get it back to camp before monsters destroy everything. The way Riordan weaves Greek myths into this modern story is fantastic. Boys and girls will enjoy the read.
Ratings: 7th grade - 10 out of 10 - V (some violence).
